Day 26: Wake Up, Sleepyhead

Stop moving, stop thinking.
Look at something pretty,
Stare at it, admiring,
Until the thing you see
Is within your own head,
Close your eyes, go to bed.

Follow it within your head,
Listening to its tales,
Remember stuff it said,
And watch it as it sails
Away with you at night
Out of the waking light.

And in a split second,
To me, you won't respond
As you dip in beyond.

Of a colorful dream,
One with mermaids and wands,
With snow white as whipped cream.
You walk on golden sands
In a world where all things
Will end when the clock rings.
