Woman reading a book

Stepping into the shade,
Away from distractions.
Let the world's noises fade
Within these protections:
Lines of shelves of old books
For any soul that looks.

Open a hardcover.
The aged, brown pages.
Ridges on the cover,
In all the past ages,
Were felt by fingertips
Of the most curious minds.
Lose your realist binds.

Forget about today,
All things dumb people say,
And the popular way.

Stepping into a world
That exists in your heart,
Where you never get old
And everyone is smart.
Breathe your life to this place
Every day for all days.

That’s mighty ! The whole library .. loved the title and the concept .. why just one or two .. the whole shebang is what works ! Really liked the simple affirmation of all our mutual love for books and what they mean to us!

Thank you so much! Glad it managed to actually find our mutual love for books and what they mean to us! Looking at the book covers was just like a throwback to being inside a library.
